Let's Get it Started......

Hello my beauties!! And I am back :) I decided to take a little longer in returning after Christmas because basically I was more exhausted than I thought and needed to rest. We had a wonderful time, lots of fun watching the girls bright-eyed happy faces discover their new toys. A lovely dinner and just enjoyment with loved ones. I'm so hyped and ready to take on this New Year!!! A lot of changes I'm making with myself and all. I have begun the stages of injecting more colour into my wardrobe as well, I received some really lovely Christmas gifts to help. But, it's blooming freezing outside, so I'll be dancing around in my new stuff in the safety of my warm house until the sun comes to play again :) I have missed you all & hope that your Christmas time was so very beautiful. I shall be around to visit you all shortly, I have 441+ blog posts to read, haha! Keep warm and happy wherever you may be my sweethearts!! I'll see you back here on Wednesday in 2014 - yay!

Merry Christmas with Love!!

Happy Monday dolls!! I hope your weekend was lovely. Well, the countdown is on now...Christmas day is almost here! I'm sure many of you will be busy travelling, cooking and preparing for the big day, so I going to keep this to a short post as I still have a pile of things to wrap and food to prepare in advance. My girls are running around the house with excitement, so I must keep them busy and out of trouble *wink* I will return on my usual Friday to share my Christmas festivities! I will be around to your blogs, twitter, instagram and facebook until then! Yesterday was the 3rd birthday of this blog, doesn't seem possible really. I feel like I just started it some days, but I am ever so grateful and happy for each of you that stop by and brighten my day!! Thank you with all my heart for reading my babbling, your sweet words and care. I appreciate them more than I can say. I know the new year has a lot more to bring and it's going to be a fun time! Lots of changes and adventures to look forward to. But, for now...enjoy this special time being with your family or loved ones!! Appreciate them and spread a little joy and love their way. My Dainty Doll Christmas Beauties!

Hello dolls!! I hope your week has been grand!! To end the week, I've come up with a small Christmas list based in beauty, because I don't really have any other Christmas wishes. The only thing I could do with is a nap and some peace & quiet. Being a mother, working, having a house to clean, cooking, blogging and everything else, I could sleep for a year with no notice of time. And I think pretty much any woman falls into this category, we all work hard! So, this is all about relaxing, glamour and pampering, because that's all I want to do!! I think you could even make this a New Year's beauty list as well, because it has all the items you need to bring the new year in glamorously! Part of me was thinking of relaxation and the other half was thinking 'Femme Fatale' with regards to the perfume, make-up/nail polish and earrings.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend, Christmas is around the corner now!

xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

1. To start the pampering out right, some extremely lush body & hair products from John Masters Organics.{Body} Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Wash & Body Milk. Your skin will feel clean and replenished while at the same time softened & nourished. {Hair} Zinc & Sage shampoo & conditioner, with Honey & Hibiscus hair reconstructor, guaranteed to make you smell and feel amazing and most definitely looking fantastic. You can see a review I did of them here if you need more

2 & 3. Some beautiful vintage inspired luxury make-up from Besame Cosmetics. I love these products, from the way they work to the gorgeous appearance of them. Elegant and Glamorous. For Lips & Crimson Rouge For Cheeks. A lush doll you will be :)

4. Mary Jo Matsumoto Laguna Winter Surf 4Free Nail trio;  I'm a self confessed nail polish addict, I can never get enough of them, even if my husband swears I already have a certain shade I lay my hands on...I then convince him as an artist, these shades are not the same, haha! Mary Jo's line is perfect as not only are the shades gorgeous and seductive, but they are free from all the nasties that other nail polishes are full of like, formaldehyde, DPB/dibutyl phtalate, toluene or camphor.

5. To get the perfect smoky eye for me, I always use Urban Decay eyeshadows, due to my skin tone, most eyeshadows disappear on me & I look as though I have no eye make-up on, even though I basically applied it with a shovel *wink* but I've always found the pigment in Urban Decay shades to work just right and last all day. I also adore their Naked range too.

6. Vanilla & Black Pepper Scented Square Jar Candle by Flamingo Candles. Organic candle, made with sultry and sophisticated vanilla & black pepper. A smooth scent that takes you away to the floral valley of Madagascar. Rare vanilla orchid blossoms, woody oriental fragrance with refreshing top notes of orange and lemon combine with green galbanum, black pepper and a hint of rosemary. These rest upon warming clove, a touch of jasmine, sumptuous woods, patchouli, musk and amber. I love candles, they really bring a wonderful atmosphere & help one relax. Flamingo candles are so gorgeous and smell amazing! I really love that their made with natural ingredients to.

7. Diamond Drop Star Earrings by Mary Jo Matsumoto. Inspired by starry nights and vintage jewels, I adore these earrings. They remind me of the 1920's, where ladies really dolled themselves up for a glamorous night out. They're just perfect, I love them.

8. Babylon Noir (Black Babylon) by Opus Oils! Another of my beauty addictions is perfume. I cannot go shopping without a stop by the perfumeries to have a try of all the bottles, even If I don't buy any at the time, I know exactly which I will come back for. And if they have a gorgeous bottle, I will go to those ones first. I could spend all day messing around with perfumes and scents. I tend to remember someone's perfume & face before I've remembered their name! This one comes from the wonderful Opus Oils based in America. Their  scents are sensual and seductive, sweet & alluring. I love the names and descriptions, it draws me in and I'm hooked. The bottles alone are delicious. Keynotes of this scent include - Indecent Tuberose, Narcotic Peaches, Luscious Lychee, Civet, Smoke & leather. Available in Alcohol or Fractionated Coconut oil. So wonderful!

Let's Get Pampering & Doll up the holidays!!

What I'm loving this month.....

Hello dolls!! I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend! what did you get up to!?! The weather was mayhem here, so we stayed in on Saturday and only went out on Sunday for food. But, it was nice and cozy being inside together :) Today I'm sharing some things that I've been loving this month so far - colours, tv shows, fashion & some words of wisdom. I hope you enjoy & have a fantastic start to the week - almost Christmas Day!! Yay!

~ Color Combinations ~
Well dolls, let's face it...I am thoroughly surrounded by grey, dull weather & I know most of you will be as well, because of that, I am craving strong, bright and fun colours. Silvers and purples, golds and teals, pinks and sea greens, hot reds, pinks, oranges & lilacs. All warm & relaxing, reminding me of the beach, the sun, flowers & bright blue skies...all of this will most definitely get me through the long winter!

~ TV Shows ~
I don't watch a lot of tv, I tend to record things and then watch them later in bed or something like that. But, these are the shows that I've been glued to these past months. I absolutely love vampires, so watching Dracula was a must. I waited all summer to see this & it's been fantastic, slow at first, but it seems to tease you here and there & Jonathon Rhys Meyers is marvellous. The Paradise, about an intoxicating love story set in England's first department store in the 1870's! I just love it, I sit on the edge of my seat every time, haha! I love the clothes, the shop itself & of course the love story!! American Horror Story: The Coven back again for the third series..this one is based around witches & the Salem Witch trials and stuff like that, it's been great so far. Jessica Lange is outstanding as always! The Originals, a spin-off from The Vampire Diaries, but I love this one even more. The combination of these characters' personalities is much more entertaining. I think it combines action with wit and mystery quite well.

Designers I'm loving
Lately I've been slightly altering my style, well, not so much altering, just giving it more balance really. I like a lot of different styles & don't really like to define myself with a label that many let themselves be tagged with. My closet has felt un-balanced for a while now, so I've been clearing & asking Santa *wink* for some different things! Just to mix it up, have fun and enjoy dressing again. I've been bringing back the quirky things that I love. No doubt, in the new year, you'll be seeing me in some things that you've not seen me in before :) These pictures below pretty much sum up what I'm trying to say :) All these designers are pretty much geniuses & never fail to amaze me each time they create!

Words of Wisdom I loved
And lastly...just a quote that struck in my mind...this one struck because sometimes we are bombarded with things 'claiming' to be new and original, but in reality we know that they aren't. But, sometimes people just follow along with them because they want to seem 'in'. Or someone might claim that they are doing something original when they know they've just copied something from the past, but they've been able to fool people around, because they are none the wiser. It's just something I see a lot of in blogs and in the world, but I hadn't realized there was a quote pertaining to it...so I thought it was cool :)

{Share-in-Style} A 'Crackin' Christmas

Happy Friday the 13th my darling dolls - muaahhaa haa!! (scary laugh that was;)  Today I am taking part in Share-in-Style with Sacramento & friends! And today's theme is 'Christmas'!! I first thought of dressing up as an Angel, but then I chose one of my other favourite things at Christmas & that is Christmas Crackers! I had never even heard of them before coming to the UK, so to see them around the table every year still makes me smile lots! The excitement of seeing what might be in them or just the sheer joy of pulling them apart & seeing you won, having the bigger piece on your side (bit like a wish bone). Depending on how much you spend getting them, you can receive cheap plastic toys to more expensive things like hand mirrors and such (these were just cheap ones for the photos) So, what better thing to do, but to dress myself up like a Christmas cracker...HAHA!
I admit that walking down the stairs - all 40 of them, was a task, I kept laughing and saying...'Me & my crazy ideas' I could barely walk, took me ages as I was afraid I would tear the paper!! But, it was a lot of fun & I wouldn't mind doing it again! I hope you enjoy & have a gorgeous weekend dolls!! Feel free to join in the fun too :)

Like a Mermaid in the sea....

Hello my darlings!! I hope that you are well & your weekend was bliss! I must confess that I've had enough of winter already!! All the freezing rain and horrific winds...I'm ready for spring & the snow hasn't even come yet!! Since I can't do anything about the weather...I decided that I would daydream and pretend to be a mermaid and evoke the essence of being at the sea! I chose a mermaid because they are beautiful and have the ability to be in the sea all year round, no matter what season.
The deep blue waters rushing all around them, splashing around, swimming with the other little fish...obviously I'm thinking of the movie The Little Mermaid & not the actual reality. Pretty seashells everywhere and the calmness of the waves to ease my mind. But, since I'm human & sadly can't live in the sea, I can carry things inspired by it with me any time I wish. I'll pretend to be a wonderful mermaid & forget it's winter for a moment, put pearls in my hair & dress up in pretty sea-inspired colours!
Enjoy dolls & have a wonderful Monday wherever you may be & I hope it's not too cold for you.
